사랑, あい, LOVE,
"Love is the most frequently used and most misunderstood word in the world." There are countless definitions and perspectives on love, which is why love is always fascinating. 《사랑, あい, LOVE,》 discusses love as seen through the lenses of Korean, Japanese, and Western cultures.  With countless definitions and perspectives, love remains an endlessly fascinating emotion — one that is universally experienced yet deeply shaped by cultural context.

To explore these cultural differences more deeply, I conducted interviews with individuals from each background, collecting their thoughts, stories, and emotional experiences. The final work consists of a 200-page art book, combining conceptual visual imagery with edited interview excerpts, and a 7-minute visual film that weaves together the emotional and aesthetic language of each culture’s perspective on love.

By presenting these varied views side by side, I hope to invite the viewer to reflect on their own understanding of love—and perhaps discover what love truly means to them.

You can read 《사랑, あい, LOVE,》 in AABB OS Library.
